Hi!

Thanks for coming by! I'll start posting again soon. Getting ready for Phase II of my weight loss plan. I just successfully completed the 21 pounds in 21 days Martha Vineyards Detox Diet. I lost 29 pounds in 21 days! I intend to lose another 90 pounds to get down to my goal of 130. I just join Kimkins with my husband and we are going to do this together.

Hi and thank you for being so honest about how difficult it was to eat out. I am afraid of that very thing. I am so sick and tired of this program and have reached a plateau and not lost anything for 4 days now. So I am going off it. I never heard of kimkins I so I checked out the web. I will be really interested to see how you do on it. It looked like people were losing 1 lb. a day on that, too, PLUS you get to eat! Finally!

Beet of luck to the both of you!

I read your 21 day blog every day and am very proud of you for sticking to it. I am a bit disappointed now that you did so well and were on your way to healthy living and you are now taking up an unhealthy diet like Kimkins. It is so similar to Atkins. It is well known now how bad the Atkins diet is for you (btw Mr. Atkins himself died of a heart attack due to very high cholesterol). Didn't you not read how bad this died is in the detox book? Another warning sign is that Kimkins advertises saying you do not have to work out and you will be slim. No healthy diet would ever promote that!! One needs a well balanced diet and physical activity to lose weight in a healthy way. But good luck anyways.

Any diet that promotes PROTEIN AND VEGETABLES cannot be bad for you.

And Atkins always promoted vegetables too(which you would know if you had ever read his book).

And he slipped on some ice and cracked his head pretty hard, and ended up in a coma. He did not die of a heart attack.

I just read through your 21 day blog and wanted to stop to say congratulations! You can really tell the difference between your before and after picture. I'm on the same MVDD day 2 so I've only accounted for 1 pound so far. The green drinks are really gross but I think I can do it! I know you've picked up a couple of the pounds since but don't despair. I think it's all about recognizing when we've eaten bad and get on track before 10 pounds turns into 20 or 30. I'm a major foodie too - and I love to bake and cook, so it'll be a challenge for me to not fall back into that when I finish the detox. I'm wondering if setting aside a "cheat" day every week and eating super well and healthy the rest of the week might be the answer. Well, you look fantastic - best of luck going forward and remember... we'll be watching you!
